I’ve been working for the past week or so on some Automator actions for iView MediaPro. Most of the Applescript Studio applications that I use for managing my image workflow seem to lend themselves to the migration.

It’s not all roses and chocolates tho’. The Apple documention for Automator is frustratingly incomplete and I’ve found myself reverse-engineering XML config files for the iPhoto actions in order to work out how to get the user-interface for my homebrew actions to be as polished as the Apple ones.

However, once I’ve got the first cut of actions finished, I’ll post them for downloads. The basic list of actions so far are

• Import Files To MediaPro Catalog
• New MediaPro Catalog
• Get Selected MediaPro Items
• Copy Metadata For MediaPro Items
• Get Metadata For MediaPro Items
• Set Metadata For MediaPro Items
• Label MediaPro Items
